Spend a Beautiful Day at Fairhope Municipal Pier

The Fairhope Pier, which is located at the west end of Fairhope Avenue on the site of the city’s first commercial pier (which dates back to 1894), serves as our city’s “town square.” The 1448-foot pier, which was completely destroyed by Hurricane Katrina in 2005, was restored and reopened in November 2006. The pier, which is intended for both strolling and fishing, is equipped with benches, shaded spaces, restrooms, a marina, and a restaurant, among other amenities. Walking is free, but fishing requires a saltwater fishing license, which is available at the park. A beautiful rose garden and fountain, as well as picnic tables, a pavilion, a duck pond, a tree trail, and a big sandy beach, can all be found in the park. The Fairhope Municipal Pier is located at the west end of Fairhope Avenue, near the intersection of Fairhope Avenue and Fairhope Avenue. Parking is available in the public lot on a first-come, first-served basis. If you’re visiting for a special event, arrive early to ensure that you get a good spot. Additional parking is available at the adjacent North Beach Park, however during the summer months, there may be a cost to park there. The City of Fairhope presents an annual Fourth of July Festival and Fireworks display from the Fairhope Municipal Pier and Henry George Park, which attracts thousands of visitors. The fireworks display will be preceded by patriotic music that will be played throughout the duration of the celebration. It is recommended that guests arrive early because parking is limited.
