Visit the Foley Welcome Center to Learn About the Community

Foley Welcome Center, located in Foley, AL, is a landmark on Alabama 52. It is a part of the Baldwin County Public Library, which was the original jailhouse for Foley back in 1892. The Welcome Center holds an exhibit about Foley’s history and houses a museum gift shop that showcased items from the area and items given by visitors and community members to the library.

The center has exhibits that highlight the history of Baldwin County. The center also has a diorama that shows some of Foley’s historic buildings and businesses, as well as some historical footage about Foley on an old projector set up in the building. Click here to learn more about Foley.

The Foley Welcome Center is open Monday through Friday from 9:30-5 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., and Sundays 1-4 p.m.. It is closed on all major holidays, but it does have special hours during some of them. The welcome Center also houses the Baldwin County Genealogical Society Library, which is free to access.

The welcome center is maintained by the Friends of the Library Association. The Friends collect membership dues and private donations, in addition to fundraisers held throughout the year. It offers five different levels of memberships: $ 10 individual, $15 family, $20 patron, $25 benefactor, and $50 life.
