Designed by architect Mike Dasher, the Gulf Shores Golf Club opened for play in 1977 and is currently overseen by Director of Golf Stacy Thacker, PGA. The fairways are bordered by pine trees and dotted with strategically placed bunkers to provide a significant challenge for any level of golf player.

Gulf Shores Golf Club is home to the annual Alabama State Open, a PGA-sanctioned 2-day tournament that brings over one hundred golfers from across the Southeast region to the course annually.
